Artículo No. 1.1: UN NUEVO ARTÍCULO ACERCA DE LA CONSTANTE UNIVERSAL ALFA. ADICIONAL A LOS ESCRITOS DESDE MARZO HASTA JULIO 2026

Introducción: 

Ya habíamos dicho que el artículo de Julio, era el final de esta serie de artículos referentes a la Constante ALFA del Universo Observable. Pero, inusitadamente apareció en la RED un artículo nuevo, en inglés, que es un resumen de este tema y que confirma los escritos previamente.

Copio la traducción del artículo que, inopinadamente, apareció en la RED, originalmente en inglés, con la siguiente encabezamiento traducido al español:

Lo inopinado es que se menciona mi nombre – un hecho por demás extraño - y el tema sea un resumen propicio para el entendimiento de la misteriosa CONSTANTE ALFA del asunto que he publicado mensualmente, en este blog, desde marzo hasta julio 2026, inclusive. 

Ahí va el inesperado artículo, en español, 

¿QUÉ HACE QUE, EL NÚMERO 1/137, SEA TAN ESPECIAL EN EL UNIVERSO, Y QUÉ PASARÍA SI ESTA CONSTANTE DE ESTRUCTURA FINA FUERA DIFERENTE? 

 El físico Wolfgang Pauli bromeaba diciendo que su primera pregunta para el Diablo sería: "¿Por qué 1/137?" 

Si esa misteriosa fracción cambiara aunque sea un poquito, nuestro universo no podría existir. 

Conocida como la constante de estructura fina y representada con la letra griega alfa `α`, este número caracteriza la fuerza de la interacción electromagnética. Es decir, dicta qué tan fuerte interactúan partículas como los electrones con los fotones.

A diferencia de la velocidad de la luz o la masa del electrón, que cambian si los mides en millas, metros o kilos, la constante de estructura fina es un número puro, sin dimensiones. 

 Si tomáramos la carga elemental del electrón, la elevamos al cuadrado, y la dividimos entre la velocidad de la luz multiplicada por la constante de Planck, todas las unidades se cancelan perfectamente. 

Una civilización alienígena usando unidades completamente distintas llegaría exactamente al mismo valor: aproximadamente 1/137.036. 

Este valor específico actúa como el andamiaje invisible de la química y la biología. 

Si `α` fuera un poco más grande -digamos 1/130- la repulsión electromagnética entre protones aumentaría. Sería mucho más difícil que se pegaran dentro de los núcleos atómicos. 

Las estrellas batallarían para fusionar hidrógeno en helio, deteniendo la nucleosíntesis estelar antes de poder forjar carbono, oxígeno y los demás elementos pesados esenciales para la vida. 

Por el contrario, si la constante fuera más pequeña -digamos 1/144- los electrones no se unirían con suficiente fuerza a sus núcleos. 

Los átomos serían enormes y frágiles. No se podrían formar moléculas complejas y estables. Los enlaces químicos se romperían al mínimo soplo, haciendo imposibles las estructuras de proteínas y del ADN. 

El universo sería una sopa oscura y estéril de partículas sueltas e interacciones débiles. 

Hasta hoy, ninguna teoría explica por qué la constante de estructura fina es exactamente lo que es. 

Simplemente surgió del Big Bang calibrada con un valor que permite que la materia se ensamble, que las estrellas ardan, y que exista un universo lo suficientemente complejo como para observarse a sí mismo.

Entonces, permitámonos pensar con profundidad y honestidad: ¿No es suficientemente claro la existencia de ALGÚN ENTE SUPERIOR que podría haber diseñado ALFA y cualquier otra cosa que existe en la NATURALEZA: La Tierra y el Universo? O tal vez digamos: ’Hay mucho más entre el Cielo y la Tierra, Horacio, que lo que tu filosofía supone’ [HAMLET] 

No es mi intención influir para que tú digieras* todas estas cosas, pero permite que te diga: EXISTEN MUCHAS RAZONES PARA SER CREYENTES QUE SER ATEOS SIN PRUEBA ALGUNA. 

Es más científico creer en Dios que no ser creyente. Si acaso tuvieras alguna duda, por favor lee todos los artículos aquí, en este blog, escritos desde marzo hasta ahora, agosto de 2026, luego podríamos hablar de muchos más hechos que no tienen explicación alguna y, por tanto, ser más científicos, y  humildes, y creamos en Dios, cualquiera que fuese el concepto que aventurases  pensar acerca de ÉL.

Introduction: 

We have already said that the article written in July was the final one of these articles’ series about Constant ALPHA of Observable Universe, but suddenly a new article appeared on the Network, as a résumé of what we said previously. 

The strange thing was that my own name, GILBERTO, appeared in the new article and that issue also confirmed clearly that such a mysterious constant was exactly as we wrote in five months, from March to July 2026, in this blog. 

The new article is as follows: 

What makes the number 1/137 so special in the universe, and how would   

Physicist Wolfgang Pauli famously joked his first question for the Devil would be, "Why 1/137?" If this mysterious fraction were altered even slightly, our universe could not exist. 

Known as the fine-structure constant (denoted by the Greek letter alpha, α), this number characterizes the strength of the electromagnetic force, dictating how strongly particles like electrons interact with photons. 

[Such explanation is very important to understand the whole matter involved by ALPHA’S value] GRM.

Unlike the speed of light or the mass of an electron, which changes depending on whether you measure them in miles, meters, or kilograms, the fine-structure constant is a pure, dimensionless number. If you take the elementary charge of an electron, square it, and divide it by the speed of light multiplied by Planck's constant, every single unit of measurement perfectly cancels out. An alien civilization using completely different units would still arrive at the exact same value of approximately 1/137.036. 

This specific value acts as the invisible scaffolding of chemistry and biology. If α were slightly larger—say, 1/130— the electromagnetic repulsion between protons would increase, making it harder for them to stick together in atomic nuclei. Stars would struggle to fuse hydrogen into helium, halting the stellar nucleosynthesis process before it could forge carbon, oxygen, and the other heavy elements essential for life. 

Conversely, if the constant were smaller—say, 1/144— electrons would not bind tightly enough to their atomic nuclei. Atoms would be impractically large and fragile, preventing the formation of stable, complex molecules. Chemical bonds would break at the slightest disruption, making the complex structures of proteins and DNA impossible. The universe would be a dark, sterile soup of stray particles and weak interactions. 

To this day, no underlying theory explains why the fine-structure constant is exactly what it is. It simply emerged from the Big Bang tuned to a value that allows matter to assemble, stars to burn, and a universe complex enough to observe itself.

I do not want to influence you on what you may say about all these facts but let me say: THERE ARE A LOT REASONS TO BE BELIEVERS THAN ATHEISTS WITHOUT ANY PROOF. 

It is more scientific to believe in GOD than to be unbelievers. If you perhaps doubt, please read all articles written here, in this blog, during five months, since March till now, August 2026, then we can talk more facts that don’t have any explanation than to be humbles and believe in God, whatever you may think about Him}
